International Conference on Qur'anic Wisdom, Women, and Society

Theme: Qur'anic Wisdom, Women, and Society: Reinterpreting Islamic Values for Justice, Empowerment, and Sustainable Development

Background

The Qur’an is the primary source of Islamic teaching, providing an ethical and normative foundation for individual, family, and social life. Its values of justice, humanity, knowledge, social responsibility, and public good are highly relevant to contemporary challenges: social change, technology, family dynamics, economic inequality, and sustainable development.

This conference is held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Institut Ilmu Al-Qur’an (IIQ) Jakarta, a moment to reflect on five decades of higher education grounded in Qur’anic studies, Islamic scholarship, and women’s empowerment.

Through this forum, IIQ Jakarta brings together academics, researchers, ulama, practitioners, students, and stakeholders from various countries to exchange ideas, develop methodologies, and strengthen cross-border research collaboration.
